Kick & Clean – Community, Youth and Environmental Engagement
During the summer of 2025, Mauritius Cosmetics Limited and Paper Converting Company Limited strengthened their commitment to community development through several social and environmental initiatives across Mauritius.
A highlight was the “Kick & Clean” initiative organised by three FSJ volunteers from SG Heidelberg-Kirchheim, combining youth engagement through sport with environmental awareness. As part of a Football Holiday Camp, around 60 children and teenagers participated in training sessions promoting teamwork, fair play, environmental responsibility and awareness of the dangers of drug use.
The programme culminated in a community beach-cleaning activity at La Cambuse Public Beach, where the participants were joined by 60 employees from both companies to collect waste and raise awareness about protecting Mauritius’ coastal environment.
Further initiatives included support for a school project of Association Group Pauvreté in Le Morne Village, a dental care and hygiene awareness programme at the Shri Shamboonath Government School in Camp Fouquereaux, and product donations to SOS Children’s Villages in Mauritius
These initiatives were further strengthened through direct and extensive support for a wide range of local charitable organizations and community partners, including members of the Rotary International network.
This commitment underscores the companies’ ongoing dedication to youth development, education, health, and environmental protection in Mauritius.
